The symposium “Shoes: Culture and Innovation” will be held at Victoria and Albert Museum in London on Friday 20th November. Starting at 10.00 am, this one day International symposium will explore shoes as cultural objects which reflect status, gender and politics.

Makers and designers will reveal the craft and tradition of shoe making beside the latest technology and engineering transforming the shoes of the future. Speakers include Elizabeth Semmelhack, Curator Bata Shoe Museum, Canada, Aileen Ribeiro, Georgina Goodman, Alison Yeung and Noritaka Tatehana.
