Exhibition: “Georgians”
With the exhibition “Georgians”, the Fashion Museum of Bath celebrates the origin of its location – it’s housed in the 18th century Assembly Rooms – and displays some of the finest fashion pieces of the Georgian era. The exhibition will feature over thirty original 18th century outfits and ensembles of the museum’s collection, with a trio of wide-skirted court dresses (1750s – 1760s) as a highlight. Additionally, the influence of the 18th century fashion aesthetic on contemporary designers will be highlighted by displaying the work of Anna Sui, Meadham Kirchhoff, Vivienne Westwood, Stephen Jones, and AlexanderMcQueen.
