“Fabulous Fifties – Fabulous Fashion” explores a wide range of original 50s attire, reflecting on a time full of optimism and change in a visual narrative. The exhibition presents various contrasting styles of the era such as dazzling haute couture outfits by Dior and Balenciaga reminiscent of Grace Kelly, along side James Dean’s iconic teenage rebel style. Moreover, fairytale dresses, wedding gowns, hats and tailored suits, all in typical 50s style can albo be seen at the Gemeente Museum the Hague.
