With the exhibition David Sasoon: A Life in Fashion, the Fashion Museum of Bath shines a light on the British grand chic of the epitomical fashion house Bellville Sassoon. Through a generous donation of David Sassoon, the Fashion Museum acquired his beautiful archive of fashion drawings ranging from the 1950s to the 2000s. While displaying a selection of said drawings, the exhibition also celebrates the history of the couture house and the three designers who have together run the house for more than 50 years – Bellville Sassoon, Lorcan Mullany and David Sassoon – through the highlights of their fashion designs: 25 extraordinary evening dresses.
