The works on view are displayed in six exhibition spaces organised thematically: Early Years, Day, Cocktail, Evening, Brides and Essential Balenciaga. In order to properly care for the collection, the conservation staff must make sure that the pieces featured in the permanent exhibition are rotated on an ongoing basis. Therefore, every 6 to 12 months the objects on display will be rotated. This will keep the exhibition alive, shying away from static nature of conventional exhibitions. The permanent exhibition also aims to include work by Balenciaga from other institutions and collections, and in this way make the exhibition even more interesting and dynamic.
